Concert Bands
Gold Band
The Gold Band is for music students in grades 11, 12, and invited grade 10s. This senior ensemble rehearses twice a week and participates in the Holiday Serenade, Musicfest Canada, and the Sounds of Spring. Gold Band usually takes a trip each year; past destinations have included Montreal, Chicago, New York City, Washington D.C. and Ottawa. This ensemble rehearses Tuesday evenings from 5:00 to 6:30 and Thursday mornings from 7:40 – 8:40.
Silver Band
Grade 10 students taking the AMI2O band course must be enrolled in this ensemble. This band rehearses Friday mornings from 7:40 – 8:40. The band participates in the Holiday Serenade, MusicFest Canada, the Music Alive Festival, and the Sounds of Spring.
Concert Band
This band is made up of Grade 9 students taking AMI1O or AMI1O4 who have elected to participate in the ensemble, directed by Ms. Christopoulos. Grade 9 music students do no have to play in any co-curricular groups, but this is the band for those who wish to play. The band participates in the Holiday Serenade, the Musicfest Canada, the Music Alive Festival, and the Sounds of Spring. This group rehearses Wednesday mornings from 7:40 – 8:40.
Instrumental Ensembles
Gold Fever
This is the senior jazz ensemble made up of students from Grades 11 and 12, though younger exceptional players may also be included. The instruments in this ensemble are trombone, trumpet, saxophone, piano, guitar, bass, and drums. The group plays music in jazz, rock and latin styles and performs at the Holiday Serenade, the Music Alive Festival, Music Spirit Week, the Sounds of Spring, and sometimes at the Kiwanis Festival or Musicfest.

Brass Ensemble
Nothing really beats the rich sound of the brass instruments, especially when played together! The Brass Ensemble is a brand new group featuring trumpet, trombone, french horn, baritone, and tuba players. They will meet every Friday from 3:45 to 5:00 PM.

Vocal Groups
Jazz Choir
The Jazz Choir is a small group of invited or auditioned singers that performs jazz and pop oriented music. It rehearses on Friday mornings from 7:45 – 8:40. It performs in the Holiday Serenade, the Ontario Vocal Festival, Music Spirit Week, the Sounds of Spring, and other school functions.
Vocal Fusion
Students will be allowed into this group by invitation only. This ensemble will be a show choir including singing and dancing just like on the TV show Glee. Vocal Fusion rehearses on Thursday afternoons from 3:45 – 5:00.
